Aruna Murty, Ph.D., is currently serving as Vice President, Drug Development at Aspargo laboratories. In her current role, she manages drug product development and manufacturing for lead drug candidate Sildenafil as well as other new drug candidates in Aspargo Labs’ pipeline. 

Dr. Murty brings over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development from preclinical to commercialization. Prior to joining Aspargo, Dr. Murty served as Director, Product Development at Adare Pharmaceuticals, where she provided direction, guidance and mentoring to a team of scientists, associate scientists and technicians handling immediate-release, extended-release, delayed-release products, oral solutions/suspensions, topical ointments, topical sprays, nasal sprays and parenteral products in various phases of IND/NDA, 505 (b)(2), or ANDA development. She is a co-inventor on multiple patents. 

Prior to Adare, Dr. Murty held several positions of increasing responsibility over 10 years at Mylan Pharmaceutical Inc (now Viatris) where she developed fifteen US and thirteen global generic oral solid immediate/sustained/ delayed release prescription products. In her role at Mylan, Dr. Murty managed product development from pre-formulation, formulation development, optimization, successful BE studies, scale-up, regulatory filing, validations, and launch.  

Dr. Murty holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai, India and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Rhode Island.
